The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed about the substantial variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The support stage produced for intervention experiences a high inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more assets to permit the servicing of all consumers and raise entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
